Description
A lone oak tree sits in a field of wheat just before harvest time. When I saw this scene I was struck by how unusual it was to see a single tree in the middle of a field like that and knew I had to photograph it. The symmetrical composition of this image breaks the commonly accepted rules for landscape photography but I felt this best emphasised not just the isolation of the tree, but the brooding sky above it.
